Global operators out in force for ‘must-attend’ Betting on Sports 2019

Described as a ‘must-attend’ event for the sports betting market, Betting on Sports 2019 will gather an unrivalled selection of senior decision makers from the world’s leading gambling operators.

Many of them feature in the 300-strong line-up of expert speakers who will deliver the in-depth content offering that Betting on Sports is synonymous with, sharing their insights on the opportunities and challenges presented by the fast pace of change in the industry.

In total, more than 160 major gambling brands from around the world will be represented among the 3,500 delegates who gather at Olympia London from 17 – 20 September, reflecting the event’s status as the place for operators to discuss key issues such as safer gambling, the US market, regulation and advertising, new technology, and emerging markets.

Representatives of GVC Group, Flutter Entertainment, Sportingbet Africa, Kindred Group, Stars Group, Sportpesa, Hard Rock Casino, William Hill, DraftKings, Caesars Entertainment, Betsson, Betcris, ComeOn!, GoldBlue AB, Betway, Pinnacle, Smarkets, Parimatch, SugarHouse Casino and BetVictor are among those taking part.

Fredrik Wastenson, CEO of Sport & Casino at Svenska Spel, commented: “In a highly globalised world, sports betting is continuously undergoing rapid development and consolidation which makes events like Betting on Sports essential in keeping us updated on the industry.”

Jamie Mckittrick, Head of Commercial for GVC Group, explained why he is a regular at the event. He said: “Betting on Sports always has the highest proportion of relevant contacts, suppliers and content for sportsbook operators.”

SugarHouse Casino Vice President and General Counsel Evan Davis commented: “I thoroughly enjoyed SBC’s Betting on Sports America conference this past spring, and it looks like they’re assembling a tremendous lineup for this event as well. I’m excited to hear a wide variety of perspectives on sports wagering from both sides of the pond.”

GoldBlue AB Chairman Rune Löderup added: “It is a good event to reach out to people from the business and I believe we have some interesting to share after operating in Asia for five years.”

The view was echoed by Steve Emberson, Betting Integrity Manager for Betway, who said: “The Betting on Sports panels always offer interesting people and thought provoking content. I also enjoy attending because it gives me a chance to catch up with old colleagues, whilst engaging with new and interesting people from all parts of the industry.”

Carmelo Mazza, CEO at Italian operator Betaland, added: “Betting on Sports is a key event in the gaming community, a real must!”

Tony Kenny, Head of Consumer & Sponsorship PR for William Hill, said: “Betting on Sports brings together a diverse set of professionals from our industry. It gives attendees the opportunity to share best practices and network with like-minded individuals from this ever evolving world of betting and gaming.”

SportPesa UK’s Head of Operations Mark McGuinness commented: “Betting on Sports is a marquee event that is a must-attend within the industry. The pre-eminent quality across all the content tracks makes it the heartbeat of what the industry wants to hear, which without doubt is a compelling reason to attend.”

Attendees include a large number of CEOs, along with directors and senior managers from the compliance, marketing, affiliate management, payments, sponsorship, product management and trading functions of bookmakers and igaming businesses.

In addition to the exceptional quality of the conference content, they will see the latest innovations from 120 suppliers in the exhibition space and enjoy networking with stakeholders from across the industry at complementary social events, staged at unique London venues including the Natural History Museum.

The leading international event for the sports betting and igaming sector also attracts representatives of regulators from numerous markets, leading software suppliers, payments technology providers, responsible gambling experts, officials from sports clubs and governing bodies, affiliates and the media.
