The Role:Β There is an opportunity for a professional events organiser to join SBC Events a fast growing technology and events company specialising in the sports betting / gambling and gaming sector. The varied events portfolio consists of conferences, exhibitions, awards, seminars, and a series of social events and parties which you will be required to deliver with the support of the management team.

Job Function/Responsibilities:

  • Managing speakers
  • Managing VIP Programme
  • Working with venues and catering suppliers
  • Managing signage, AV and other technical suppliers
  • Delivering sponsor and exhibitor benefits: stands, branding, bags, etc
  • Producing information packs for exhibitors
  • Setting and managing of operations budget, future planning and forecasting
  • Working closely with the project team etc. to determine the overall β€˜look’ of the event
  • Close liaison with Exhibition Services contractors for expo build
  • Designing and managing floorplans
  • Producing detailed signage schedules
  • Designing and co-ordinating delivery and pullout schedules
  • Managing contractors and suppliers including sourcing and appointing new contractors
  • Ordering of all furniture and equipment needed on site
  • Methodical filing and record keeping, arranging meetings, keeping minutes and follow up correspondence
  • Responding quickly and calmly to requests from delegates, speakers, sponsors and exhibitors pre-event and onsite. The ability to remain calm in busy and stressful environments is important.
  • Managing appropriate staffing levels during the event and at other busy times
  • Consideration of health, safety and environmental issues and decisions
  • Post show evaluation and development

 

Objectives:

  • To ensure that the conference programmes run smoothly and all presentations are available to AV contractors and delegates alike
  • To ensure that the events run smoothly, professionally and come in on budget
  • To develop the β€˜look’ of the events and improve the comfort of the surroundings for delegates and exhibitors
  • To maintain good levels of communication between sponsors, exhibitors, contractors, the event team and the venue management
  • To ensure sound Health and Safety practice is maintained both on site at the exhibition and in the office environment
