Heading towards a critical year for UK gambling, the new Betting & Gaming Council is formed seeking to finally provide a ‘unified voice’ for all industry incumbents, amid heightened regulatory scrutiny, political oversight and media pressures.
Hosting an exclusive SBC Webinar, Wes Himes interim Chief Executive of the Betting & Gaming Council will detail to audiences how the council aims to fulfil its mission statement of ‘championing industry standards in betting and gaming, ensuring an enjoyable, fair and safe betting and gaming experience for all customers’.
In addition, Himes will detail initial guidance on the Council’s ambitious ’22 actions’ directive which seeks to reconfigure how industry incumbents collaborate and how the sector is represented to wider stakeholders.
“The BGC’s number one priority is to champion industry standards. The Safer Gambling Commitments and their 22 actions will set those standards, ensuring our customers a safe and enjoyable betting and gaming experience. Everyone needs to know this programme as it will affect all aspects of the business from marketing to culture.” Wes Himes, interim CEO, BGC.
