SBC has announced new partnerships with two of Brazil’s responsible gaming and compliance organisations, the Associação Brasileira de Jogo Responsável (ABJR) and the Brazilian Association for Compliance, Best Practices, Ethics and Transparency in Betting (ABC-Bet).
Finalised in the lead-up to SBC Summit Rio, the partnerships come as the Brazilian industry prepares to meet at Riocentro from 3–5 March 2026 to discuss the future of the country’s regulated betting environment. SBC’s collaboration with ABJR and ABC-Bet highlights its ongoing commitment to responsible growth and regulatory integrity in Brazil.
Each organisation plays a distinct and critical role within Brazil’s evolving regulatory ecosystem.
ABJR is dedicated to promoting responsible and sustainable practices across the online betting and gaming ecosystem. By focusing on consumer protection, ethical standards, and responsible gaming frameworks, the association works to ensure that market growth is aligned with long-term social responsibility.
Bruno Cabrelon, President of ABJR, highlighted the broader importance of the collaboration: “By joining forces with one of the world’s leading networking and content platforms in the iGaming sector, ABJR expands its reach, connects with international industry leaders, and actively participates in the most relevant discussions on regulation, innovation, and social responsibility in the betting market.”
ABC-Bet, the Brazilian Association for Compliance, Best Practices, Ethics and Transparency in Betting, operates as an independent integrity body focused on strengthening governance and compliance across the betting ecosystem. Through its three core pillars, certification, professional training, and social responsibility, ABC-Bet connects operators, suppliers, regulators and sports organisations around trusted technical standards. At the heart of its technical work is CertBet, Brazil’s first independent integrity certification for the betting sector.
Vinicius Pinho, President of ABC–Bet, also described the partnership as a strategic step forward: “Establishing a strategic partnership with SBC represents a significant milestone in strengthening Brazil’s betting ecosystem. SBC is one of the world’s leading platforms for industry events, content, and networking, so this collaboration enhances Brazil’s connection to the international integrity agenda and accelerates access to critical discussions around compliance, player protection, prevention of illicit activity, and governance best practices.”
By partnering with ABJR and ABC-Bet, SBC strengthens the responsible gaming and governance focus of SBC Summit Rio. aligning the event with the organisations shaping Brazil’s regulatory maturity.
Lucía Mouriño, VP Relationships LatAm at SBC, said: “Partnering with ABJR and ABC-Bet allows us to reaffirm our commitment to helping Brazil build a gaming market that is both safe for players and sustainable.
