SBC Summit Adds Global Payment Compliance Track to 2026 Agenda

SBC Summit will examine the technologies, strategies and regulatory developments underpinning modern payment compliance with the “Global Payment Compliance’ track, taking place on Wednesday, 30 September.

The track brings together operators, compliance specialists, payment leaders, legal experts and technology providers to examine how businesses can strengthen payments, combat threats and adapt to evolving regulatory expectations.

The Global Payment Compliance track will form part of the dedicated Payment Expert Summit stage, alongside tracks covering Fintech (Tuesday, 29 September) and Crypto & Blockchain (Thursday, 1 October).

Rasmus Sojmark, Founder and CEO of SBC, said: “Payment compliance has become one of the industry’s biggest balancing acts. Operators are expected to strengthen fraud prevention, AML threats and regulatory oversight, while at the same time delivering the fast, seamless payment journeys that players demand.”

“But success isn’t about choosing between compliance and customer experience; it’s about getting both right. The Global Payment Compliance track has been designed to help delegates understand the strategies, technologies and regulatory thinking that will allow them to do exactly that.”

The track will explore how operators are integrating the latest advances in AML compliance during the panel ‘AML in Motion: Continuous Monitoring in Modern Gaming.” Experts Luis Carlos Pérez (Chief AML Officer, Lottofy), Gintarė Wycherley (Senior Solutions Engineer, SEON), James Boyles (Director Player Experience, Evoke), Carmelo Mazza (CEO, Betaland/Enjoybet) and moderator George Rover (Managing Partner, Princeton Global Strategies) will examine how automation and smarter risk detection can strengthen compliance without creating unnecessary friction for players.

Attention will then turn to one of the industry’s fastest-growing regions with Cross-Border Compliance: Navigating AML Across African Markets. As mobile money and alternative payment methods continue to accelerate growth across Africa, experts Maruf Lawal (COO, MOKO Afrika), Adenike Oyebamiji (Legal Compliance West Africa, Velex Group) and moderator Maleek Oyiza (Head of Legal & Compliance, Tradabets), will discuss how operators can navigate differing requirements across jurisdictions while maintaining seamless payment experiences.

The balance between compliance and player privacy takes centre stage during the session “How Much Is Too Much Data?”. Speakers James Myles (Head of Compliance, Dragonbet), Miguel Godinho (Senior Legal & Compliance Counsel, Betclic Group), Vana Demetriou (Chief Legal and Compliance Officer, ZENOBET) and moderator Jochen Biewer (Managing Director, Chevron Group) will explore how operators can build robust processes that satisfy regulators without overstepping evolving data protection requirements.

Sessions across the day will also address the AML challenges posed by emerging game formats through AML Readiness for Emerging Game Formats, examine how prediction markets and AI are reshaping financial oversight in Prediction Markets, AI and the New Investment Arms Race, and prepare delegates for the next phase of European regulation with Preparing for AMLA’s Full Rollout

Attendees looking to continue the conversation beyond the conference stage can also take advantage of a range of dedicated networking initiatives designed for payment and compliance professionals. They can join the Compliance Show Floor Tour, a guided networking experience led by the SBC team, introducing delegates to leading payment compliance exhibitors and their latest solutions.

Taking place from 29 September to 1 October 2026, SBC Summit will welcome 40,000 industry professionals to the Feira Internacional de Lisboa (FIL) and MEO Arena for three days of networking, exhibition and education.

Exhibitors interested in taking part in the Compliance Show Floor Tour can contact the sales team at [email protected]. Operators can reserve their place on their preferred tour here.

Access to SBC Summit’s conference is included with Conference, Business and VIP Passes.

Delegates wishing to attend the conference sessions and payment compliance networking initiatives will require a Business or VIP Pass.
