Pay360 – Using data and analytics to improve false positives in the player acquisition process

Pay360 is sponsoring Betting on Football 2018, the fifth edition of the largest international football and betting trade conference at Stamford Bridge.

Ahead of the 20-23 March event, we spoke to the company’s Head of Business Development Gaming Marc Wood about what he is looking forward to at #bofcon2018, which innovation he expects to capture the most attention in 2018, and who he is backing to lift the World Cup trophy in Russia.

SBC: What are you looking forward to at Betting on Football?

MW: To be able to engage with senior members of the sports betting community and see if there is a way for Pay360 technology and data assets to help in solving some of the pressing issues at large within the industry. Also of course to just meet new people and socialise.

SBC: What are you promoting at Betting on Football?

MW: We have a newly developed suite (Optimise) of risk analytics and data tools which have been designed from the ground up over the last two years specifically for the gaming sector, unlike most industry solutions which have been modified from other industry sectors to try and work in gaming.

SBC: What industry innovation will capture the most attention in 2018?

MW: Sophisticated rules, machine learning and AI are already capturing attention in 2018 especially in addressing areas such as problem gambling, compliance and bonus abuse.

SBC: How can your company help to improve the customer experience ahead of the World Cup?

MW: By using sophisticated data and analytical tools it’s about being able to improve false positives in the player acquisition process, reducing manual interventions, automating compliance and regulatory processes and the resultant increase in revenues and profit that results.

SBC: Who are you backing to win the tournament, and why?

MW: With no scientific logic, just an emotional hope that Spain will win as my newly adopted second home!
