Karamba: We must prioritise tools which bring back fun and social interaction

As Betting on Sports Europe – Digital draws ever closer, we’ve been chatting with our event sponsors to find out what they’re most looking forward to at the event.

Joel Momigliano – VP of Karamba – sat down with SBC where he discussed how Karamba has been delivering a new sports experience through its Karamba battle, something which he feels deserves the place of the most eye-catching innovation in 2020!

What are you looking forward to at Betting on Sports Europe – Digital 2020?

I am looking forward to hearing the very valuable opinions from many colleagues of mine in regards to the challenges and opportunities our industry is going through.

We will be hearing, I believe, new challenges that companies have faced during this exceptional year and different approaches that have been taken.

I am sure that the challenges within the European arena, with recent changes in the german market, can help us to balance our efforts and understand how we plan for the future of our industry in the wider context.

It will absolutely be an interesting and fascinating event to follow!

What would be your biggest bit of advice for betting and gaming businesses trying to mitigate the impact of COVID-19?

In regards to sports betting, unfortunately due to several restrictions and limitations, we have seen that the social part of the fun in sports betting has been limited. We, at Karamba, have found an incredible way to provide our customers with a totally new sports experience with our Karamba battle. This tool brings back the fun and social interaction so much missed during the past season and the current.

Many of the discussion panels are pertinent to the situation being faced across the sports betting industry. I am fascinated to follow their opinions and any conclusions the panels will make.
