MIRACL: Operators should consider multi-factor authentication that increases user experience

SBC Summit Barcelona – Digital has officially commenced as over 10,000 delegates flood into its virtual building. Ahead of the event, we sat down with a whole host of our event sponsors to discuss what they look forward to this week, whilst also providing some advice to betting and gaming businesses.

Rob Griffin, the CEO of MIRACL, highlighted that due to the effects of COVID-19, phishing attacks are becoming more of a threat than in previous years and so it is imperative the industry combats that to avoid security breaches.

What are you looking forward to at the SBC Summit Barcelona – Digital?
To meet and greet the leading lights in the gaming industry.

What would be your biggest bit of advice for betting and gaming businesses trying to mitigate the impact of COVID-19?
We’re a security company. Since COVID-19 phishing attacks have risen 400%. This really jeopardises players’ account security. Operators need to consider multi-factor authentication that also adds to users’ experience.

What are you promoting at SBC Summit Barcelona – Digital?
MIRACL’s multi-factor authentication.

What industry innovation will capture the most attention in 2020?
Our patent-awarded split key cryptography revolutionises security by offering multi-factor authentication while also improving users’ experience.

Which operator has impressed you the most in 2020?
We’re big believers in innovation and I think IGT has been leading the field in this regard.

What partnership has stood out in the past 12 months?
To be honest, I actually think SBC has been a stand-out partner for operators this year providing up-to-the-minute content around how to cope with the disruption of COVID-19.

Which parts of the conference agenda have caught your eye?
Payments and Compliance section is very well attended.

Further details, including the agenda, full line-up of 200 speakers and list of the 100 virtual exhibitors, are available from the official SBC Summit Barcelona – Digital website.
