Red Tiger: The North American markets offer some exciting opportunities

SBC Digital Summit North America is eight days away, and we’ve been chatting with our event sponsors to find out what they’re most excited about.

Chris Looney, Commercial Director of Red Tiger, explained to SBC that he is most looking forward to promoting their portfolio of games, and catching up with both new and existing clients.

What are you looking forward to at the SBC Digital Summit North America?

The summit gives us a great chance to catch up with our existing clients as well as reach out to some potential new ones. The North American markets offer some exciting opportunities, and this gives us a chance to talk to people who might not be familiar with our successes in Europe and elsewhere. We now have a strong partnership with NetEnt, who are enjoying considerable success in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, and we’re monitoring the situation with interest.

What would be your biggest bit of advice for betting and gaming businesses trying to mitigate the impact of COVID-19?

Besides taking Red Tiger’s games and marketing tools (!) I would say that the most important thing is to look after your staff and customers. Keeping the former happy and motivated is always important, but particularly so when working remotely. And players need to be entertained and kept safe during what has been a difficult time for everyone. Businesses who have looked after them and made sure they have been responsible in doing so will reap the rewards.

What are you promoting at SBC Digital Summit North America?

We’ve released some fantastic games over the last 12 months and have plenty to show people. As many will know, our games come with some fantastic daily and hourly jackpots that really drive player interest among our operator partners. Used in harness, they are a powerful combination.

What industry innovation will capture the most attention in 2020?

We’ll shortly be launching Gonzo’s Quest™ Megaways™ which I’ve no doubt will be a smash hit. For anyone that doesn’t know, the original game is among NetEnt’s best ever performers and was the first ever video slot to use cascading symbols in place of a conventional reel. The new one is even better!

Which operator has impressed you the most in 2020?

Among the bigger, multi-national operators I’d take my hat off to GVC over the last few months. 888 has also done particularly well. But there’s a lot to be said on the national level for Microgame in Italy and Nike in Slovakia. We’ve been impressed by both.

What partnership has stood out in the past 12 months?

On a personal level, NetEnt, Red Tiger and Evolution has been a particularly important partnership, obviously. But drilling down into that, I have been inspired by NetEnt’s partnerships with their existing clients in the U.S., such as Rush Street Interactive, Poker Stars, Kindred and FanDuel. I think they set a great example of supplier/operator relationships for anyone looking to establish themselves in the market.

Which parts of the conference agenda have caught your eye?

I think there will be some great content. Regulation in the States changes all the time so it will be great to keep abreast of the latest developments with some of the panels.
