What are you looking forward to at the SBC Summit Barcelona – Digital?
Events like these are always a prime opportunity for networking and forging new contacts. As such, Fast Offshore is looking forward to establishing relationships with operators and key players in a range of industries that we havenโt had the pleasure to work with yet.
What would be your biggest bit of advice for betting and gaming businesses trying to mitigate the impact of COVID-19?
I like to take a positive approach to every situation. Therefore, I think we need to understand that this is an opportunity to diversify and seek out new possibilities, technologies, and innovations to make sure all clients’ needs are met. Land-based casinos should also ensure they have an online presence so clients donโt miss out.
What are you promoting at SBC Summit Barcelona – Digital?
We will be looking for ways to synergise our expertise with what stakeholders need. Our practise spans startups, entrepreneurs, and more established companies in a range of global sectors. Going beyond incorporation and structuring, we also help with fiscal optimisation, business planning, compliance, licensing, and ongoing maintenance. We will be listening to what people want, and providing our solutions.ย
What industry innovation will capture the most attention in 2020?
Based on what we are seeing within our own client base, there is a big uptick in eSports and eSports betting. 2020 was the year where eSports made the transition from niche to mainstream and I expect that to continue. Of course, blockchain and cryptocurrency are still making waves and will continue to permeate all market segments going forward.
Which operator has impressed you the most in 2020?
This is a tricky question because many of the big names pioneering in the industry are our clients. As such, it would be unprofessional to single one out. Letโs just say this year has been an eyeopener in terms of innovation and positivity and we are happy to be working with those involved.
What partnership has stood out in the past 12 months?
Again, having guided some of our clients in making these partnerships, it would be unethical of us to single one out. But what we know is that as we approach the start of 2021, we can expect to see much more, particularly in terms of sponsorships and regulatory partnerships.
Which parts of the conference agenda have caught your eye?
Well, there were several. My favorite ones were Banking Crisis, Affordability & ID checks (KYC), Blockchain Payments as a driver in crisis,ย eSports, the future of Latin American Sportsbetting, and Virus Check: Payments, Fraud and ID.
