Influential Industry Leaders Set to Share Strategic Guidance at SBC Summit Americas 2025

The second day of the ‘Leaders’ conference track at SBC Summit Americas will provide 10,000 attendees with cutting-edge insights and firsthand industry expertise from some of the most influential voices across the region, delivering a strategic blueprint for success across the Americas.

Held on Thursday, May 15th, at the Broward County Convention Center, the track’s second day will bring together an impressive lineup of C-level executives and founders representing leading operators, affiliates, media organizations, and legal experts from across the region.

Attendees can expect a variety of in-depth discussions addressing the most pressing challenges and opportunities in both North and Latin America. Key topics include the implementation of cutting-edge omnichannel strategies to enhance player engagement, the strategic use of local talent to deepen market engagement, and how the North American betting sector is preparing for the FIFA World Cup 2026.

The second day of the ‘Leaders’  track will kick off with the panel ‘Casino Leaders: Bridging the Gap Between Digital and Land-Based’, which will examine how operators are embracing omnichannel innovation to unify the land-based and digital gaming experiences. Featuring experts Zoe Ebling (Vice President Interactive, AGS), Jason McCulloch (Vice President of Gaming, Galaxy Gaming), Saverio Scheri (COO, Agua Caliente Casinos), Bobby Soper (CEO, Sun Gaming & Hospitality) and Ricardo Cornejo Rivas (VP Online Gaming, Caesars Digital), the session will delve into the latest innovative technologies, as well as the growing influence of social media and influencer marketing in enhancing engagement and creating a seamless customer journey.

Spotlighting the critical role of local expertise in successful business operations is the session titled ‘Boots on the Ground: The Importance of Local Talent in LatAm’. During this panel, industry experts Felipe Maximino (CEO, Sorte Online), Florencia Brancato (Consultant, iGaming Latam Consulting), Cristian Gomez (Managing Director Emerging Markets, Betsson), Juan Ignacio Juanena (iGaming Consultant, Rei do Pitaco), and moderator Thiago Baileiro (VP Compliance & People, Sorte Online), will discuss how international operators can leverage local expertise to better understand cultural nuances, language, and customer behavior. The session will also explore how assembling competent, regional-based teams is essential for long-term success and sustainable growth in the region.

The panel titled ‘Sports Teams Leaders Panel: Amateur, Collegiate & Professional, Should the Goalposts Move?’ will examine the impact of the NCAA’s proposed ban on individual sports betting. Featuring experts David Purdum (Reporter, ESPN), Mark Hicks (Managing Director, Development, Enforcement, NCAA) and panel moderator  Evan Davis (Counsel, Roy Cooper, Cohen Braunfeld), the discussion will delve into the broader implications of such a ban, its potential applicability across different levels of sport, and the evolving role of regulators in safeguarding amateur and collegiate athletes.

Additionally, the track will host the SBC First Pitch Competition, which will see five innovative start-up companies compete for a grand prize package worth over $110,000. Each finalist will have the chance to present their product and business plan through a 3-minute presentation, followed by a Q&A session, in front of a live audience and an esteemed panel of industry and investment experts.

In addition to the ‘Leaders’ track, delegates will have the chance to expand their knowledge on the Americas region through dedicated tracks encompassing payments, affiliation, and player protection, alongside two regional-focused tracks: North America and Latin America
