IR Academy Awards

Inaugural IR Academy Awards Postponed From 12 October Until 30 November 2021

The IR Academy has announced that the first ever IR Academy Awards, to be held at The Londoner Macao, and previously scheduled for Tuesday 12 October, have been postponed to Tuesday 30 November 2021.

The postponement is in response to the “state of immediate prevention” put in place by the Macao SAR Government and its effect on Golden Week, the compulsory mass NAT testing program and other developments arising from recent imported and local COVID-19 cases.

IAG Vice Chairman and CEO, Andrew W Scott, said, “After much reflection over the past 24 hours, the IAG team thinks it is best to delay the Academy Awards given the recent developments. It’s just not the right time at the moment, and given this is the inaugural edition of this new event, it is relatively easy to move the date.”

The Academy of Integrated Resorts and Gaming Executives in Asia, more simply known as the “IR Academy”, was officially launched on 15 June. The objective of the IR Academy is to advance professionalism and recognition within the industry through a range of initiatives, the first of which is the inaugural IR Academy Awards, which will recognize industry executives and their contributions.

There is no judging panel as the awards will be determine by popular vote of the members.
