Leonid Kirakosyan, CEO of SoftConstruct, elaborates on what we can expect from the group ahead of the highly anticipated SBC Summit in Lisbon.
SBC Events: What elements of SBC Summit work so well for your organisation, and why is it important for you to be there this year?
Leonid Kirakosyan: SBC Summit is unique in its scale and quality of connections – bringing together leaders from global iGaming ecosystem in a single, focused environment. With the industry evolving at record speed, it’s essential for us to be where the world’s top operators, suppliers, affiliates, and regulators gather to discuss the next wave of innovation.
SBC Summit for BetConstruct is not just an industry event – it’s a launchpad for strategic growth and place where we can connect with forward-thinking partners.
SBCE: What’s your key objective at this year’s event and what are the main products/services you’ll be promoting?
LK: This year we are bringing breakthrough AI-powered solutions that fundamentally transform how platforms engage and protect players. We want to inspire and equip our partners about the practical, measurable ways our new AI solutions adapt to every user – giving each player exactly what they need, when they need it.
We invite everyone who’s ready to explore what the future of iGaming looks like to visit us at our stand for demos and meaningful conversation.
SBCE: What would you highlight as the biggest opportunity in the betting and gaming industry over the next couple of years?
LK: Without question, the biggest opportunity is harnessing AI and advanced analytics to deliver hyper-personalised, responsive experiences for every player. Players’ expectations are rapidly changing: they want intuitive recommendations, instant service, and a user journey that feels uniquely theirs at every touchpoint.
At the same time, AI enables operators to tackle longstanding business challenges such as fraud, bonus abuse, and player churn far more precisely and proactively than ever before. Those who embrace the power of ‘adaptive intelligence’ – making every product as adaptive as a chameleon – will set the new standard for growth, loyalty, and profitability in our industry.
SBCE: What elements of your business do you feel are best placed to take advantage of that opportunity?
LK: Our biggest strength is our purpose-built suite of AI solutions designed specifically for iGaming’s challenges and opportunities. We are especially well positioned because our solutions operate as an integrated ‘chameleon’ – constantly adapting not just to industry trends, but to each player in real time.
This deep adaptability enables our partners to unlock full benefits of AI, faster and more effectively than those trying to retrofit generic tools to iGaming environments.
SBCE: What areas of the business should we be looking to for innovation in the next 12 months?
LK: From my point of view, in the coming year, the most exciting areas for innovation will be:
- Real-time personalisation: evolving solutions to create even more responsive, context-aware player journeys.
- Predictive player care: anticipating player needs and risks before they arise – whether it’s recognising future VIPs, preventing churn, or supporting responsible gaming.
- Integrated AI ecosystems: breaking down silos by uniting different AI models into a seamless, adaptive environment – so operators can deliver frictionless, intelligent experiences at scale.
- Transparent, trusted AI: focusing on explainability, data privacy, and regulatory alignment to ensure every innovation delivers value without introducing risk.
SBCE: What new technology do you feel will have the biggest impact for stakeholders?
LK: Intelligent game recommendation systems, powered by advanced AI, are set to make the most significant impact across the entire iGaming value chain.
For players, the experience becomes instantly more rewarding and intuitive. For operators, these systems dramatically boost engagement and user experience by ensuring every player receives tailored content that matches their unique preferences and mood – no more one-size-fits-all lobbies or irrelevant promotions.
SBCE: What core challenges do you help solve for your customers/partners?
LK: We boost player engagement with personalised recommendations, help operators and content providers drive user experience by surfacing the right games to the right players, and protect all stakeholders with advanced AI fraud detection and risk management. Our solutions drive loyalty, increase game exposure, and reduce loss – making every aspect of iGaming smarter and safer.
SBCE: Who have you especially enjoyed working with over the past year (partner/client) and why?
LK: All of our partners are valuable to us, and what unites them – and us – is a shared focus on innovation. Being part of the BetConstruct family means embracing a culture where every partnership is built on collaboration, fresh thinking, and pushing boundaries together.
As the new CEO, I’ve made it a priority to engage closely with our partners – especially in cases where I see challenges or opportunities to add value. I take a very hands-on approach: I review player journeys myself, join discussions when needed, and work directly with our teams to resolve issues or unlock new possibilities. For us, it’s essential that no partner ever feels left behind.
SBCE: Can you tell us more specifically how you worked with that partner and how the relationship is developing?
LK: With every partner in the BetConstruct ecosystem, we take a collaborative and hands-on approach – starting from joint discovery and pilot launches of new AI features, all the way to rapid feedback cycles and co-designed enhancements.
We don’t just deliver technology; we build long-term alliances by continuously sharing insights, optimizing outcomes, and adapting our solutions to fit each partner’s unique needs.
SBCE: What are you hoping to learn from the conference at SBC Summit and which elements of the agenda will you be focusing on the most?
LK: We are looking forward to learning how industry leaders and new entrants alike are tackling the rapid changes brought by AI, personalisation, and regulation across global markets.
We are especially interested in sessions focused on player experience, AI ethics, and future-ready compliance – areas that align with our mission to deliver intelligent, responsible, and adaptive solutions.
Most of all, I hope to engage in open dialogue with peers and partners, challenge our assumptions, and discover new perspectives that will help us drive the next wave of meaningful innovation in iGaming.
