The Future of Affiliation In Brazil: Top Three Panels to Watch at SBC Summit Rio

The opportunities have never been brighter for affiliates targeting or wanting to target Brazil.

The market’s regulation has attracted a surge of international operators, all eager to leverage affiliates’ regional expertise, established credibility, and insights to effectively promote their brands.

However, with new regulations restricting what’s permissible and what’s not, success in Brazil comes with its challenges.

This is where SBC Summit Rio’s conference agenda comes in.

The dedicated ‘Affiliate Leaders Summit’ track will help attending affiliates adapt to new regulations with ease and stay updated on the latest customer acquisition and retention strategies.

To guide affiliates in spotting the hottest sessions, we’ve highlighted three must-attend panels.

From Insta-Fame to Insta-Compliance: Influencers Adapt to New Regulations

🕒 14.50 – 13.30
📅 Thursday, 27th February
📍 Conference Room Four

This panel will look at how Law Ordinance No. 1231 and the updated CONAR rules are changing influencer marketing in Brazil. Simply put, we’ll talk about how influencers can follow the new rules while keeping players safe.

The panel will feature Kelwynn Andrade (Influencer, Bettilt), Cassio Filter (Brazil Country Manager, KTO), Renan Nishiyama (CEO, 3C Gaming), Guga Júnior (Influencer and Co-Founder, Click Hunters) and Bernardo Pontes (Founder, ALOB Sports).

Andrade is a successful influencer with over 24k Instagram followers. 3C Gaming and Click Hunters, two Brazilian influencer agencies, will provide the behind-the-scenes scoop on how to secure the best influencers.

ALOB Sports, with an impressive lineup of sports and gaming clients, will share how to guide influencers toward promoting responsibility. Brazilian operator KTO, known for working with ambassadors like football star ‘Tinga’, will offer insights from the operator’s perspective.

Dive Deeper

  • Ordinance No. 1231: holds operators responsible for not just their own communication, advertising and marketing actions, but also for their affiliate partners remaining compliant (e.g. the implementation of  “18+” age restriction notices and gambling risk warnings). Additionally, it mandates that sponsors clearly identify themselves, avoid targeting children, and refrain from sponsoring youth events or teams.
  • CONAR guidelines: require influencers to disclose when they’re advertising during streams, avoid misleading messages, maintain ethical standards, and be subject to CONAR’s stream monitoring.
