What do you think about the emerging markets in the US?
Well, I’m from Denmark and it’s a small European country. I hate that all the attention goes to the US market but at the same time, I recognise that we, in terms of technology, platforms and other schemes, will have a wonderful leverage from the fact that we have the US now into the regulated and open markets. So, of course, for the industry as a whole, it’s a great thing.
What was the stand out moment for you in this conference?
Also, I think now that I’m talking on the panel today about sustainability, I’ve been discussing that with a few colleagues already. I think that now is the moment that we actually lead by example to see that we are growing into a more mature market and that sustainability will be more and more important. I look forward to discuss that later today.
What can you say about Betting on Sports 2018?
I think that this has been a great event, like last year and the year before. I think that you have a great opportunity to meet with your network and some of the best partners that we have within the industry. I think it’s a small, agile and flexible setup. I really enjoy it.
Why do you believe this is such a must-attend event in the industry?
I think it’s a must-attend because when you look at other regulations in marketing and advertising, in other sectors, it’s obvious that as a gambling sector, we need to accommodate the problems and face the problems. I’d rather have that we do that by ourselves, by leading by example instead of having the regulators to fix it for us. I think it’s a very important discussion.
