The Asian market remains a massive opportunity for international online gaming and sports betting businesses, Felix Ng – Asia Editor, Project Director at Asia Gaming Brief – explained to SBC as we continue to catch up with our sponsors for next week’s SBC Summit Barcelona – Digital.
With a week to go until the event, which will take place from 8 – 11 September, Felix Ng told SBC that they are most looking forward to putting together an Asia-focused networking session and also hearing new ideas from the industry’s leading figures.
What are you looking forward to at the SBC Summit Barcelona – Digital?
This year, it’s safe to say that business travel will be near non-existent. To be able to connect and catch up with our clients from Asia, Europe and the U.S. is an opportunity not to be passed up. Plus, we’re really excited about putting together an Asia-focused networking session at this year’s SBC Digital Summit Barcelona.
What would be your biggest bit of advice for betting and gaming businesses trying to mitigate the impact of COVID-19?
Revenue may be slowing, budgets may be tightening. But remember that what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. Spend the time now to streamline your operations. You and your team will come out stronger as a result.
What are you promoting at SBC Summit Barcelona – Digital?
Asia remains a massive opportunity for international online gaming and sports betting businesses, perhaps even more so following the events of 2020. What industry innovation will capture the most attention in 2020?
Undoubtedly, the health measures surrounding COVID-19 will dominate the discussion as it relates to new product and innovation. We’ll see certain trends in gaming accelerate their pace. Blockchain, cashless technology, mobile payments – to name a few.
Which parts of the conference agenda have caught your eye?
We’re always on the lookout for new ideas and innovations coming out of product suppliers and operators in the industry. Innovations in live betting, and Innovation in slots – both scheduled for Wednesday 9th September looks particularly interesting. Will we see more of the same, or is someone going to truly break the mould?
