SBC: Hi Amanda, thank you for joining us today. Betconnect was founded in 2023 during a pivotal moment for the Brazilian iGaming industry. How has your first year been navigating the market? Were there any unforeseen challenges, and how did you manage to overcome them?

Amanda Emmerick: Betconnect was created to fully address the media demands of the sports betting market by offering diversified and strategic solutions. Backed by market research and our expertise in performance marketing, we chose to launch ahead of the regulation period. This early entry allowed us to establish a strong position and identify clearer opportunities for the coming year. While we have encountered unforeseen challenges with some unregulated companies, we’ve successfully overcome them through solid contracts and long-term partnerships.

SBC: Many Latin American markets, including Brazil, rely heavily on social media platforms like WhatsApp for driving traffic. How does Betconnect utilise these channels within its marketing strategies?

AE: We currently leverage tools such as WhatsApp, social networks, and CRM systems to attract new partnerships and clients in the bookmaker segment. However, our key differentiator lies in the commitment and in-depth market knowledge of our sales team, which plays a crucial role in driving significant results.

SBC: Since Brazil’s full regulatory framework came into play, the market has seen a surge of new brands vying for attention. How has Betconnect distinguished itself from competitors in this rapidly growing market?

AE: Betconnect has established partnerships with 40 bookmakers that fully comply with current regulations. We believe this creates a safer and more reliable environment for collaboration and disclosure.

Our team of specialists is dedicated to addressing all market demands, from acquiring new customers to increasing deposit and redeposit volumes. Additionally, we provide a variety of traffic sources tailored to each partner’s specific objectives.

SBC: When visiting your site, it’s impressive to see that Betconnect boasts a network of over 10,000 affiliates dedicated solely to iGaming. How did you achieve such rapid growth in such a short time, and what strategies were most effective in scaling your affiliate network?

AE: Betconnect was created in partnership with Afilio, one of Brazil’s most experienced and pioneering performance networks, with over 15 years of expertise in affiliate marketing, performance, and media. Afilio has an extensive presence across various sectors, including retail, services, fintech, education, and more.

Over the years, we have built a robust base of 50,000 registered affiliates, 10,000 of whom specialise in the iGaming segment. This underscores our expertise and ability to meet the demands of this rapidly growing market.

SBC: Your site emphasises Betconnect’s strong commitment to ethics and security in your marketing. Could you share some of the specific measures or initiatives you’ve implemented to uphold these values?

AE: We utilise advanced technology to track various affiliate performance metrics, enabling us to detect any irregularities in real-time. In addition, we employ proprietary anti-fraud technology to ensure the integrity of all operations. Our team of experts meticulously manages campaigns and affiliates, conducting rigorous validation and manual approval of each partner to maintain high standards.

SBC: How critical are personalisation and segmentation in your affiliate marketing efforts, and what tools or tactics do you use to effectively implement these strategies?

AE: Partner segmentation is fully personalised and aligned with each client’s specific objectives and interests. Campaigns can be tailored to focus on acquisition, lead generation, clicks, visits, or app installs, and we operate with various attribution models to ensure the most effective remuneration strategy for each approach.

Our diverse affiliate base provides clients with the flexibility to select the strategies that best align with their goals. Options include influencers, programmatic media, SEO, retargeting, email campaigns, content marketing, cashback, coupon sites, and more. Each of these channels allows us to maximise audience reach and effectively target specific demographics, enhancing exposure and strengthening our clients’ brands.

SBC: You are set to attend SBC Summit Rio In February 2025; what are your main expectations and goals for attending the event?
