BetConstruct: The industry has to consider alternative verticals

Gor Mnatsakanyan, Regional Director of BetConstruct, spoke with SBC about his plans for the CasinoBeats Malta Digital event which is in full swing.

When considering the ways that companies can mitigate the impact of coronavirus, Gor Mnatsakanyan advised the industry to consider alternative verticals such as live casino, Esports, Virtual sports and RNG Casino – and that now is the time to add new products.

What are you looking forward to at CasinoBeats Malta Digital 2020?

It’s always a pleasure to participate in CasinoBeats. I would also like to thank the organizers who have found a way to make it happen in these challenging times. It’s always a pleasure to speak to colleagues and peers, participate in different presentations, panels and networking events, as well as present our new achievements and products.

What would be your biggest bit of advice for betting and gaming businesses trying to mitigate the impact of COVID-19?

In my opinion, the industry has to have a look at alternative verticals such as live casino, Esports, virtual sports and RNG casino. Businesses can use this time (crisis) to work on products, and refine them, add new ones into their portfolios so that they can get out of the crisis stronger than before.

What are you promoting at CasinoBeats Malta Digital?

In the past few months, we were working on our product portfolio and looking for alternative verticals that can help our partners stabilise operations and continue growing. As you may know, we have successfully added to our product portfolio in-house Virtual Sports with 8 games and 6 unique RNG games. All the products are available for our MGA partners now.

We also have a great solution for land-based casinos. We can offer them to replicate their environment into an online live casino. It can be a good way for risk minimisation and investment diversification. Let’s not forget about our award-winning sportsbook solution including Esports.

What industry innovation will capture the most attention in 2020?

During COVID-19 and past 3 months, we have noticed the growth of virtual sports and Esports. For sure after the restart of the sports events, a lot of players will switch back to normal/standard sports, but for sure I can say that alternative verticals such as Esports, virtual sports, and unique RNG games will continue to grow.
Which operator has impressed you the most in 2020?

2020 has been a hard year so far at least, and I am happy to say that the industry has accepted the challenge and will be stronger after the crisis. I have noticed that during these challenging times, most of the operators have kept the responsible gaming rules and tried to run innovative and creative marketing campaigns.

What partnership has stood out in the past 12 months?

There were a lot of new partnerships in the past 12 months. The best/most impressive for me is that BetConstruct has received the Swedish license. It creates new opportunities both for us and our partners. I also appreciate our team’s efforts to launch new products, and for sure, our new partnerships with operators across the world.

Which parts of the conference agenda have caught your eye?

There are a lot of interesting topics, presentations and panels during the conference which I believe will be beneficial for all exhibitors and attendees.
