BetGamesTV: M&As will dominate the 2021 agenda

As we progress further into 2021, further mergers and acquisitions across the betting industry are going to take place alongside a continued shift towards the online and mobile channels. That’s according to Eddie Morales, Latam Sales Director at BetGamesTV. 

Speaking to SBC ahead of next week’s SBC Digital – Latinoamérica, he gave us a sneak peak into what BetGamesTV will be promoting at the event, as well as his predictions for the industry in 2021.

What are you looking forward to at SBC Digital – Latinoamérica 2021?

First of all the high quality of the SBC format, the networking opportunity and the quality of the speakers.

What are your predictions for the gaming industry in 2021?

M&A’s of major groups into emerging regulated markets, further growth of online/mobile channel vs retail and more product segmentation with significant growth from Live products and e-Sports betting.

What are you promoting at SBC Digital – Latinoamérica 2021?

Betgames products which offer an alternative to the traditional Live Casino products while creating a unique cross selling opportunity with Sports betting users and an easy learning experience for new users to gambling at low risk and high interactivity.

What industry innovation will capture the most attention in 2021?

Betgames will launch a new innovative product family that hopefully will have a very big impact on the industry, hopefully before the end of 2021 or early 2022.

Which operator has impressed you the most over the last 12 months?

I value the efforts that I imagine a company like Apuestatotal has had to make in managing the terrible effects of the pandemic on their retail operation. 

I think during 2020 companies that have shown their concern and efficiently managed their own structure and people should get a very high recognition. Also companies moving forward with new projects like Superbets in the Dominican Republic, showing how important it is to step forward in moments of difficulty.

What partnership has stood out in the past 12 months?

In the Latam region I’m impressed with Betcris accomplishments with regards to sponsorship deals with North American pro. leagues. 

Which parts of the conference agenda have caught your eye?

Overall I can’t say one single topic or part of the agenda that has “caught my eye” in particular as all of them are very interesting for me. As a matter of fact I think that the most exciting thing is that the whole agenda is really eye catching and reflects the main topics worth discussing at this moment in time. Obviously having very high quality speakers on each agenda’s topic makes it even more attractive.
