BetInvest: We must focus on a ‘cyber niche’ as we emerge into a new normal

Esports and online gaming have seen exponential growth in the last few years, and Alexandra Kalchuk, Head Of Business Development at BetInvest anticipates that this is only going to continue as she advised betting and gaming companies to focus on a ‘cyber niche’. 

Ahead of SBC Summit Barcelona – Digital, Alexandra Kalchuk gave us some insight into what the BetInvest team will be promoting at their stand. The panel, where she will be both a speaker and a moderator, is promised to be informative and provide listeners with valuable data

What are you looking forward to at the SBC Summit Barcelona – Digital?

The summit is expected to be extremely action-packed and enthralling. The whole BetInvest team is looking forward to sharing our knowledge as well as hearing about the achievements from the other industry contributors. That is, we will surely be visiting as many panels as possible to learn how the past half of the year turned out to be for the summit participants and how the companies address the appeared market complexions.

BetInvest will as well be participating and moderating one of the panels – we’re eager to share our thoughts and insights on such an acute topic as eSports betting. We hope to create new contacts with a diverse audience of the summit by presenting four of our innovative products and highlighting their strengths from a perspective of the global pandemic and real-life sports cancellations. I personally look forward to speaking on the panel, it is my goal to share some aggravated business data and make the panel as informative as possible.

What would be your biggest bit of advice for betting and gaming businesses trying to mitigate the impact of COVID-19?

To keep a strong position on the market a business has to adapt and overcome the challenges instead of going in a hibernation mode. BetInvest long ago saw the potential of eSports and quicksports as the alternatives to classic sports, and this has paid off. 

I would recommend concentrating on the cyber niche, which includes both cybersports and online gambling, prioritizing the younger audience, and searching for the investment possibilities that don’t depend on the world’s epidemiologic situation. This will allow to diversify business risks and mitigate the recoil from the worldwide crisis

What are you promoting at SBC Summit Barcelona – Digital?

BetInvest will be presenting four of its products that together compose a versatile Sportsbook tailored to different sports niches. Our greatest innovation was to divide the Sportsbook product instead of providing a business with the needless services – and we want to share why such an approach is expected to set an industry trend for the nearest future. 

Sportsbook in four projections consists of the mentioned eSports and Quicksports, as well as eGames – the real-life sports that transferred into the online space – and familiar Classic Sports, that, despite all odds, are predicted to return in our lives till the end of the year. 

What industry innovation will capture the most attention in 2020?

We see great potential in the innovations that are aimed at making the player’s experience seamless. Such developments will be using immense popularity due to the client-oriented strategy many gambling and betting businesses have adopted. 

BetInvest itself moves rapidly towards bringing the VR technology into the gaming business. Thanks to the chosen course, our clients can already enjoy a dive into the casino atmosphere from their homes that brings completely new and unexplored emotions to the familiar gambling process. 

Which operator has impressed you the most in 2020?

There are dozens of respectable businesses and companies that have contributed to the industry development in 2020 – some of them will even be present at the SBC Digital Summit. We are always impressed when an operator presents its progress to the wide public, and we’re more than happy when an operator is able to find a key to a particular operational region – it is a hard job, and we have the highest regard to all companies that are able to grow and prosper during such challenging times. 

What partnership has stood out in the past 12 months?

Thinking about that, I want to highlight the hights FavBet, our long-term partner, was able to reach. Throughout the past 12 months, the company was able to receive an MGA license and now operates in a great number of world countries. More local licenses are expected to be obtained in the nearest future, with the emphasis put on the Western Union market. BetInvest indeed is looking forward to assisting FavBet in the fulfilment of these great ambitions.

Which parts of the conference agenda have caught your eye?

As I’ve said earlier, the whole SBC Digital Summit’s line-up is fascinating – every day, there are dozens of panels and workshops our team is eager to visit. Among them, we’re especially interested in attendance of the Innovation in Fixed Odd Betting and Innovations in Slots panels, as they resonate with our operation niche.

Aside from that, the summit will surely bring new contacts and connections, which is, probably, the most delightful part of such big gambling events. We’re looking forward to seeing visitors in our virtual booth, as well as on the panel dedicated to eSports Betting that would be held on Tuesday, September 8th, at 11.30 am – 12.10 pm CEST.
