CasinoBeats Malta and Betting on Sports America FAQs

Answers to your questions about the rescheduling of two of SBC Events’ international gaming industry conferences.

Why have you decided to reschedule now?

Until very recently we were confident that CasinoBeats Malta would still be able to be held, but this weekend Malta confirmed its first cases of COVID-19 and with an increasing number of companies imposing their own international travel ban, it became clear that holding a large scale event of this type would be impossible in the current climate.

It is the same situation with Betting on Sports America. With some states declaring a state of emergency over the COVID-19 outbreak, people and companies are wary of conducting any unnecessary travel, giving SBC Events no option but to postpone.

So CasinoBeats Malta is now 22-24 June?

That’s right. We have carefully examined the international events calendar, discussed the various possible periods with many people, and these dates came out as the best option.Β

And Betting on Sports America on 1-3 December? Why so late in the year?

We wanted to keep the event at the Meadowlands venue and also be relatively confident that the concerns over COVID-19 will have been addressed for a new date. It was also important that it fit into the existing event schedule for the US gambling industry. Also New York during the Christmas period is recommended.Β

Will this cause any changes to the agenda of the events?

The plan at the moment is that the conference agenda and speakers will just be transferred to the new dates. There will obviously be tweaks, both in content and speaker line-up, but we are confident that it will be recognisably the same event.Β

What happens if I have purchased a ticket and cannot make the rescheduled date?

Then you will be eligible for a refund or would be able to transfer the ticket to one of the other SBC Events scheduled for this year.Β

What about your other events? Will they still be on?

The plan is to go ahead with all the events on the revised dates, but obviously it is a fast moving environment. SBC Events is monitoring the situation as it develops.
