Domicilium – Helping Asian operators to gain access to western markets

Domicilium is sponsoring Betting on Sports 2018, the 3rd edition of the largest international sports and betting trade conference at Olympia London.

Ahead of the 18-21 September event, we asked the Domicilium Senior Account Manager to disclose some of the firm’s plans for #boscon2018 and to pick out the sporting event he would most like to attend.

SBC: What are you looking forward to at Betting on Sports?

Domicilium: Meeting industry leaders and thinkers, Betting on Sports is the perfect size to see, hear and meet all the key people in this industry. I look forward to hearing what the industry is doing to prepare itself for the US market, and maybe offering our own advice on this topic.

SBC: What are you promoting at Betting on Sports?

Domicilium: We offer hosting, network and technical support to the sports betting community. Also, B2B networking to peripheral companies like software, payments etc. with operating partners.

We specialise in Asian market, helping this industry with access to Asia whether that be hosting or data transfer, and reciprocate with helping Asian sports betting operators gain access to western markets.

SBC: Which sports betting company has impressed you the most in 2018?

Domicilium: We are headquartered in the Isle of Man and are very proud to be part of a well-regulated community. There are obvious benefits to an Isle of Man licence and it is gratifying to see our operators grow and flourish under the Manx flag.

It is even more gratifying to see operators recognise and repay some of that benefit. A good example of an operator who likes to give back is SBOBet, under their corporate entity Celton Manx. Their support is wide ranging and very generous – local sports teams, the arts and community causes like the local children’s hospice.

SBC: What sports betting partnership has stood out in the past 12 months?

Domicilium: Another of our larger operators is a relatively new player in the UK market. SportPesa have their roots in Africa as everyone knows. It has been impressive to see them grow and mature over the last four years and the partnership with Everton is statement to the industry that they have arrived on the world stage.

SBC: If you could attend one sporting event, what would it be?

Domicilium: It would have to be the World Cup final, which I have managed to miss every time because of work. I’m am hoping that in four years’ time one of my operators will take pity on my so I can combine the two.
