I’m Interested in Exploring Miami. Any Suggestions?

The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino was strategically chosen for its close proximity to the vibrant atmosphere of downtown Miami. Just a 30-minute drive from the hotel, you can walk the sandy shores of Miami Beach, savor rich local delicacies in Little Havana, or visit famous movie locations.

To help you make the most of your free time in Miami, we have compiled a list of must-visit restaurants, nightclubs, and attractions.

Notable Locations:

  • Little Havana: The heart of Miami’s Cuban community, Calle Ocho (SW 8th Street), is a vibrant area known for Domino Park, strong cafecitos, and counter-service croquetas.
  • Wynwood Walls:  Known as Miami’s most Instagrammed spot, this outdoor gallery features graffiti and murals on warehouses and shop exteriors, offering a vibrant contrast to the city’s museums.
  • Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science: The Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science, located in Downtown Miami’s Bayfront Park, is a vast and comprehensive temple to learning. It features an aquarium, a planetarium, and two science galleries.
  • Venetian Pool: Pictures can’t capture the true beauty of the Venetian Pool—one of the world’s most stunning public pools. Trust us, it’s worth the trip to Coral Gables to experience it in person.
  • Miami Beach: With white, sandy beaches, turquoise waters and an over-the-top cultural scene, Miami Beach attracts millions of visitors to its world-famous shores each year.

Famous Movie Sets:

  • Fontainebleau Miami Beach: A luxurious resort on Ocean Drive that was featured in the iconic films “Scarface” (1983) and “The Bodyguard” (1992).
  • Ocean Drive: A picturesque street with palm trees and art deco buildings that were used in scenes in both “Step Up Revolution” (2012) and the first season of “Dexter” (2006).
  • Bayside Marketplace: A 2-story open-air shopping center that was featured in several episodes of the crime drama television series, “Miami Vice” (1984).
  • Seven Mile Bridge: A narrow bridge that travels to the Florida Keys and that was used in the action film “True Lies.”
  • Matheson Hammock Park: A scenic park with a recreational pond and spectacular views of the bay that was used in “There’s Something About Mary” (1998).

Restaurants

  • Boia De: A cross between an L.A. strip mall gem and a cozy Brooklyn dive, Boia De sits on the edge of Buena Vista and Little Haiti, where it serves modern, Italian-inspired dishes and low-ABV cocktails that taste not a drop less celebratory.
  • The Surf Club Restaurant: Thomas Keller’s restaurant inside the Four Seasons Surf Club is a shining example of the quality and elegance the chef is known for.
  • Zitz Sum:  Zitz Sum is a modern, Asian-inspired restaurant in Coral Gables.
  • Stubborn Seed: ‘Top Chef’ winner Jeremy Ford’s edgy neighborhood restaurant doles inspired new American cuisine you’ll be craving long after your meal.
  • Cote Miami: The Miami outpost of this Michelin-starred Korean steakhouse from New York City is every bit worth the splurge—and splurge you will.
