Your Essential Guide to SBC Summit Malta.
When it comes to content marketing, there’s always the challenge of delivering crucial and useful information in formats that truly resonate with attendees.
In many ways, preparing an effective piece of content is much like preparing for an event—it takes careful planning, a touch of imagination, and the ability to consider every possibility.
So, when it came to writing a piece on getting ready for SBC Summit Malta, I didn’t want to just share my own thoughts on effective preparation—I wanted to make sure you’re getting essential advice from those who know the event best: the team behind the scenes making it all happen.
After several conversations with different branches of the SBC team, I’m confident we’ve pulled together something genuinely useful for making the most of your time in Malta.
In this blog post, we’ve put together a list of essential tips ahead of SBC Summit Malta—covering the key preparations, hidden gems, and latest updates to help ensure your time at the event is seamless, productive, and fun.
Now enough from me—let’s get to it!
Use the SBC Connect App
Every year, people ask me the same thing:
“What’s the best way to make the most of an SBC event?”
And honestly, my answer never changes: Download the SBC Connect app.
That’s not just a throwaway line—the app really is essential. It’s your digital Swiss army knife for getting the most out of the event. It helps you stay organised, connected, and up to speed with everything going on at the event.
The app comes with plenty of useful features, but here are the five key tools to help you get the most out of SBC Summit Malta:
- Digital Schedule and Conference Agenda: This year, we are ditching the paper agendas at SBC Summit Malta—but the app has you covered. You’ll have instant access to the full event schedule, allowing you to favourite sessions and add them directly to your personal calendar.
- Digital Floor Map: With a digital floor map built into the app, finding your way around the exhibition floor is effortless. Whether you’re looking for a specific exhibitor or trying to locate your next conference session, the app’s digital map can help save time and frustration!
- Networking Functions: Networking is one of the biggest benefits of attending SBC events, and the app takes it to the next level. Browse the full list of attendees and exhibitors, set up your profile, and start engaging before you even step foot in the venue. You can reach out via the private chat function, schedule meetings in advance, and walk into the event with a ready-made networking plan of action.
- Alerts & Notifications: If you’ve been to an industry event before, you know plans can change last minute—it happens. Keep push notifications turned on to get real-time updates on room changes, notable keynote taking place, and networking opportunities taking place on the show floor!
- Keep the Knowledge Flowing—Even After the Event: Missed a session or want to rewatch a panel that caught your attention? No problem. The SBC Connect app gives you on-demand access to all conference sessions post-event, so you can revisit your favourite panels, share insights with colleagues, or catch up on anything you missed.
Do you have the right ticket?
By now, I’ve worked several SBC networking events, and do you know what the most unpleasant part is? It’s when someone turns up at an evening networking party, and I have to tell them they can’t get in with their ticket type. I hate it.
These networking parties might not be a priority for you, and that’s absolutely fine. But if you’re in a client-facing role and networking is a priority, make sure you have a Full Event Pass (affiliates and operators don’t have to worry—they can apply for a free Full Event Pass! Affiliates apply here. | Operators apply here).
If you don’t, and you only have an Expo Plus Pass, you might need to consider upgrading (if your company is up for that). If that’s the case, email us, let us know, and we’ll help you upgrade your ticket.
In any case—and this doesn’t just apply to the parties—know what’s included in your ticket. We understand that many of you didn’t book your own tickets, so to avoid any surprises, double-check what’s covered
To help you better understand our different ticket types, we put together a brief ticket breakdown guide, which you can read here.
Attend the Networking Parties!
Everyone says networking is important, but let’s be honest: how often do we really plan for it?
You would be surprised how many people we see arrive at a networking event with the intention of just winging it and hoping for the best.
But with so many opportunities at SBC Summit Malta, it’s worth putting a little structure around your social schedule—especially when some of the biggest names in the industry will be under one roof (or on one dancefloor).
The INFINITY Malta:
In case you missed the news, chart-topping, EDM sensation Galantis will headline the INFINITY Malta party! Available to all ‘Full Event Pass’ holders, the evening promises to be the ultimate blend of networking and a festival atmosphere!
Having personally experienced the spectacle of Afrojack and Dubdogz at the INFINITY Rio and Steve Aoki at the INFINITY Florida, I can assure you, this isn’t a party you will want to miss!
The INFINITY Malta will be taking place on Wednesday, 11 June, at the Aria Complex from 21:00 – 02:00, so make sure to keep your night free and get ready to make unforgettable memories surrounded by industry peers. Read more about the INFINITY Malta here.
What else is happening?
As well as the INFINITY Malta party on Wednesday, SBC Summit Malta will also feature two additional evening networking parties on Tuesday and Thursday, meaning you can spark conversations and generate leads every night of the event!
Need a refresher on what’s happening? Here are the key details:
- SBC Summit Malta’s ‘Opening Party’
Date: Tuesday, 10 June 2025
Time: 19:00 – 00:00
Location: Infinity by Hugos - Official Closing Party
Date: Thursday, 12 June 2025
Time: 21:00 – 01:00
Location: Open Waters
Just a heads-up: these events are also only open to Full Event Pass holders, so it’s worth double-checking what type of ticket you’ve got.
VIP Dinners: On the evening of Wednesday, 11 June, SBC will also host two special invite-only dinners — the Affiliate VIP Dinner at Sole by Tarragon (from 19:00 – 21:30), and the C-level Operator VIP Dinner at Caviar & Bull (also from 19:00 – 21:30).
Not sure if you’re on the list? If you’re an affiliate or operator interested in attending, try reaching out to our relationship team at [email protected] to see if there’s still space available. No guarantees — but definitely worth asking.
Additional Tip: Utilise social media ahead of the event: Social media is a powerful tool, and with so many in the industry already on platforms such as LinkedIn and Instagram, it can be a great way to start the ‘networking ball’ rolling, well before the event starts.
A simple post saying you’re heading to SBC Summit Malta, jumping into the comments on our LinkedIn updates, or using #SBCSummitMalta can go a long way. You might spot some familiar names, get a few conversations going, or even lock in a meeting or two ahead of time. It takes barely any effort, but it can really pay off once you’re at the event! To make it even easier, we’ve put together a selection of dedicated event social media assets — explore them here.
Speed up Registration with Digital Wallet Access
Picking up your badge isn’t always the smoothest experience, and that’s a shame. It’s your first touchpoint when you arrive at the event, and we genuinely want that first impression to be a great one.
Of course, nothing is ever perfect, but we’re doing our best—constantly upgrading our systems and creating more opportunities for badge collection outside of the main conference days to make things easier and queues shorter.
BUT… It’s not just up to us.
If you come prepared, you can help yourself and your fellow delegates spend significantly less time in line.
Before you pick up your badge, head to your inbox and find your ticket email by searching for the subject line: “Registration Confirmation to SBC Summit Malta 2025”
Then go ahead and add it to your phone’s wallet (this works for both iPhone and Android users). We only introduced this feature recently, but already seen how much faster things moved at SBC Summit Americas for those who used it.
So, yes. Add it to your wallet, and just scan it at one of our badge scanners. That’s it.
Also, just so you know:
In addition to picking up your badge during the main event days, you can also beat the crowds and collect it before the event starts:
- Registration desk on Tuesday, 10th June, from 12:00 to 17:00 at the InterContinental Malta.
- SBC Summit Malta Opening Party at Infinity by Hugos, taking place on Tuesday, 10th June from 19:00 to 00:00 (Full Event Pass required).
Exhibiting? Here’s How to Access All Your Leads in One Place
If you’ve exhibited at events before, you’ll be aware of a common problem: not everyone who stops by your booth is the right fit for your business. And after chatting with hundreds (thousands if it’s an SBC event) of people over a few busy days, you’ll no doubt leave the event with your head spinning. We’ve been there!
That’s why, at SBC events, we’ve made it super easy for you to focus on the leads that really matter to you!
When you have a great conversation with someone who’s actually relevant to your business, all you need to do is scan their badge using the SBC Connect app, and just like that, their info is saved!
Even better, our badges are colour-coded, so you can quickly get a sense of who’s approaching your stand before the chat even starts. Colours to look out for include:
- Orange: Operator
- Purple: Affiliate
- Blue: Delegate
By the end of the event, your SBC Connect app will be filled with meaningful leads—not a jumble of names you barely remember. This means you can start your post-event outreach quickly, easily, and to those who truly count. At SBC Summit Malta, it’s all about quality over quantity.
Need a quick how-to? Here’s how to collect your leads:
On Mobile:
- Head to More in the bottom menu
- Tap Scanned Leads
- Check out your Statistics
- You’ll see two tabs where you can download your reports: Personal and Team (Just a heads-up: Team reports are only available for company admins).
On Desktop:
- Click your profile in the right-hand menu
- Go to Settings
- Scroll down to Calendar Settings
- You’ll find the Download Leads option right at the bottom
Pretty simple, right? We’ve designed SBC Connect to take the stress out of lead generation, so you can focus on building real connections that count.
Make Sure to Attend our Workshops!
Panels are great for picking up big ideas—but if you’re the type who likes to roll up your sleeves and get involved, our workshops are a great opportunity to pick up some great insights, whilst also collaborating with industry peers!
Over the two main event days, you’ll have the chance to take part in 17 (yes, seventeen!) workshops covering topics from personal development to brand expansion. Want to sharpen your personal brand? Curious about how your audience really thinks? Preparing your business for investment? There’s something here for everyone, no matter your role or experience level.
Now, I couldn’t possibly list all 17 workshops here, but here is just a taster of some of the workshops on offer across the event:

Why I’m Staying at the InterContinental (and You Should Too)
Look, I love a scenic walk as much as the next person—but not when I’m late for a panel, juggling a lanyard, coffee, and mild panic.
That’s why I recommend staying right where the action is—the InterContinental Malta. If rolling out of bed, grabbing a coffee, and being right in the middle of the action isn’t convincing enough, here are a few more reasons to stay there:
- Natural Networking: The real deals don’t always happen in meeting rooms. They happen over breakfast buffets, elevator chats, and impromptu lobby catch-ups with someone whose name you just know you should remember.
- Hotel Amenities: The gym and pool at the InterContinental are genuinely impressive and provide a great way to start and end each event day.
- Cheap Rates: Thanks to our partnership with the hotel, you can stay there for just €255 a night—a special deal exclusively for SBC Summit attendees!
Book your stay at the InterContinental here.
Dress for the Occasion.. And the heat!
It might sound obvious, but Malta in June is hot, so don’t feel pressured to show up in a full suit.
The event’s dress code leans more toward business casual, with comfort and practicality taking priority. If you’re planning a full day of networking followed by evening socials, we recommend light, breathable layers and smart yet comfortable footwear—you’ll be on your feet more than you think!
Final Thoughts
And there you have it—essential insights to help you make the most of your time at SBC Summit Malta. If there’s one final piece of advice, it’s this: get ready to enjoy yourself!
When you’re at your best, you bring your best—and with a packed agenda of must-attend sessions, a vibrant show floor filled with innovative and recognisable brands, and unforgettable networking opportunities, how could you not?
