iGaming NEXT: The industry needs artificial intelligence to support compliance efforts

With CasinoBeats Malta Digital beginning tomorrow, SBC has been catching up with our event sponsors to get some insight into what they’re most looking forward to.

Pierre Lindh, Managing director & Co-founder of iGaming NEXT, explained that the use of artificial intelligence in compliance will capture the attention of the betting and gaming industry for the remainder of the year.

What are you looking forward to at CasinoBeats Malta Digital 2020?

I’m excited to meet the industry, network in a digital format and check out all the exciting content.

What would be your biggest bit of advice for betting and gaming businesses trying to mitigate the impact of COVID-19?

In the words of Mark Cuban “how companies treat workers during a pandemic could define their brand for decades”. This is what it comes down to, don’t be tempted to slash your employees as your first call to action to save money short term.

Think about what you need to do to retain your employees, to show them that you are there for them to the fullest extent possible. This is long term thinking, with a short term cost.

What are you promoting at CasinoBeats Malta Digital?

Artificial Intelligence in compliance I think is something which the industry desperately needs right now. And there are several companies working on automating the compliance process as much as possible using AI tools.

Which operator has impressed you the most in 2020?

Parimatch has built such a cool and edgy brand, not only using Conor Mcgregor, but their brand identity in general is top notch

What partnership has stood out in the past 12 months?

The new merger between Evolution Gaming & NetEnt. It can be debated if NetEnt was overvalued, but the fact of the matter is that Evo are now lining themselves up to become the new giant of the industry.
