Intertops will be sponsoring the new ‘Digital Marketing Forum’ at this year’s Betting on Football, which will be the sixth edition of the international sports betting trade conference due to take place from 19-22 March at Stamford Bridge.
In the run up to #bofcon, we had a chat with their Sportsbook Affiliate Manager to talk us through Intertops’ plan for what they plan to promote at this year’s show, as well as the importance of optimising affiliate opportunities.
What are you looking forward to at Betting on Football?
Catching up with the friends, business partners and entrepreneurs from the industry to share ideas and thoughts for the upcoming highlights like the showdowns in the top football leagues, Champions League Final and of course talk about the past Super Bowl.
Looking forward to new exhibitors and start-ups which will make the BOF 2019 a colourful event. The stadium tour at Stamford Bridge was one of the highlights in the past years and I am sure Intertops will once again make a lot of business partners happy by taking them around the stadium again this year.
What are you promoting at Betting on Football?
As Intertops took the first online bet worldwide, our main focus is on the Intertops Sportsbook. With our recently-launched affiliate software it is now even easier for affiliates to refer players and benefit from lifetime deals across all our products (Sportsbook, Live Betting, ESports Betting, Intertops Red Casino, Intertops Classic Casino and Poker).
Intertops is the most trusted book out there having been online since 1996. No negative carry-over, CPA + revenue share + hybrid deals, punctual and exact payments and exclusive deals await all our upcoming and existing partners.
What industry innovation will capture the most attention in 2019?
Most of the innovations will take place directly within the betting markets, especially in the area of live betting: Price boosts, real-time scoreboards, plus the easy-to-use functionality of mobile sites will make a difference.
ESports products will be improved, operators will overthink their strategy in the US market and of course Crypto currencies as a payment option could be an opportunity. With Intertops, customers are able to deposit with Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash and Litecaoin + Affiliates are able to withdraw in Crypto currencies.
Do you expect speed of innovation to slow in the absence of a major football tournament?
Football/Soccer will always be the most important sports type in Europe and therefore all operators constantly improve their football product. The competition simply does not allow us to go on a two years break. While the bet slip editor seems to be history, there are other features coming up. We as operators would say.
After the World Cup is before the European Championship. Adding new markets, improve the live betting experience, modify the scoreboards, adding live streams – and of course player and stats markets are a big topic.
How can betting and football stakeholders work together more effectively?
Well, with a look at all the content out there we see that lot of things have improved lately. I do think former football starts as brand ambassadors have made a good job to sensitise the sports bet in different Geos. In Britain it’s the culture, while on other continents its still difficult.
Offering a maximum of transparency from both parties is the key for successful relationships. Specify the core markets and working on a good strategy is more important than simply spread a bonus offer across all marketing channels.
Which parts of the conference agenda have caught your eye?
Personally I am interested in “Betting on Marketing” and will definitely join each panel. Furthermore, I have seen a couple of interesting US Sport panels.
Intertops is sponsor of the “Digital Marketing Forum” which has a lot to offer in 2019 – especially for Affiliates. “Getting creative with social media” is a topic everyone is interested in. In terms of restrictions, paid Facebook Ads, etc – every affiliate is searching for opportunities to generate good leads and optimise the costs involved.
