Looking towards the first Betting on Sports America event in a few weeks time, we discussed the evolution of the US market with one of our sponsors, Optimove.
Chatting to their Vice President of Revenue, Asaf Cohen, he told us how Optimove were looking forward to taking part in #bosamerica, as well as addressing that sports leagues have played a role in penning a number of betting partnerships in recent months.
What are you looking forward to at Betting on Sports America?
The American Sports betting industry is going through a tremendous change since the lift of PASPA last year. Optimove has been working with betting companies all over the globe for over a decade and we’re very excited to take part in Betting On Sports America and share our knowledge and ideas with industry stakeholders. Also looking forward to meeting some of our existing North American customers.
What are you promoting at Betting on Sports America?
Optimove is the vendor of choice of Relationship Marketing Platform for betting and gaming vendors. 1 in 3 EGR Power 50 companies use our products and services to manage, orchestrate and optimize their hyper-personalized player communications.
We’re also offering industry-unique tools, including Pulse, providing operators the ability to benchmark their KPIs against industry-wide averages (using our aggregated data), and the use of predictive analytics for early identification of problem gamblers.
What sports betting partnership has stood out in the past 12 months?
One of the key differences between the traditional European sports betting ecosystem and the emerging one in the US is the involvement of the major US leagues in the industry.
To that note I would mention the NBA which inked 3 major betting and gaming partnerships over the last 12 months with MGM, The Stars Group, and PPB’s Fanduel. Very interested to see how other leagues will react and how this will affect the industry.
If you could attend one sporting event, what would it be?
I’m a huge soccer fan, and love going to the Emirates Stadium and support my team Arsenal. The one on my bucket list is definitely the most glamorous, important and anticipated soccer game on earth – the grand finale of the FIFA World Cup.
The conference, taking place from 23-25 April, is set to host 175 leading industry speakers across 40 sessions, with 60 exhibitors displaying their latest products on the 61,000 sq ft exhibition floor at the Meadowlands Exposition Center.
