Esports has been growing in popularity over the last few years, and according to Pavol Krasnovský, CEO and co-founder of RTSmunity a.s., esports betting is only going to continue growing.
At next week’s SBC Digital Summit North America, RTSmunity will be discussing how to meet the specific needs of esports’ target demographic, while also promoting their new solution tailored to helping sportsbooks and casinos enter the esports betting space.
What are you looking forward to at the SBC Digital Summit North America?
While we are excited to attend the whole event, there are definitely some highlights that we are looking forward to. We are interested to hear about the current state of regulatory affairs on the US market, and I think the Innovation track will be interesting from day 1.
And as always, especially during times like these, I welcome the option to have a chat with friends and colleagues from the industry, because we are not able to meet personally.
What would be your biggest bit of advice for betting and gaming businesses trying to mitigate the impact of COVID-19?
Get into esports betting! Esports has proven to be very resistant to any negative impact from COVID-19, so that’s an obvious choice. But if you want to start with esports betting, you have to do it the right way, because of the specific needs of the target demographic. And that’s what we will discuss in our session.
What are you promoting at SBC Digital Summit North America?
As mentioned earlier, we are constantly approached by sportsbook and casino operators who would like to get into esports betting, but they are struggling with profitability and volumes.
That’s why we have developed a solution, which is tailor made for a new generation of punters, and which enables sportsbooks and casinos to easily enter the esports betting business. I don’t want to spoil the show, so join us and you will be able to try the solution live.
What industry innovation will capture the most attention in 2020?
Visit our session on 15th of July, and you will see it by yourself!
Which operator has impressed you the most in 2020?
There are more of them, but I would definitely mention our partner in Poland, STS, because they are doing a great job of promoting esports. Second one is probably Sazka Bet, thanks to their activity on our domestic market, where they established a new esports league with a prize pool of 100k EUR. We want to see the growth of young esports talents, and this is the way to do it.
What partnership has stood out in the past 12 months?
From our point of view, the public listing of DraftKings and their tie-up with SB Tech is something that can really shape the future of the market, so even though it’s not technically a partnership but acquisition, that was definitely one of the highlights.
Which parts of the conference agenda have caught your eye?
We are just really interested to see the news from US market. The regulation is constantly changing there, but we feel the market is becoming more accessible, and we are excited to join the discussions about future of gaming in NA.
