RTSmunity: Esports betting will remain in the spotlight

Esports has continued to attract increased attention during the last few months, and Pavol Krasnovský, CEO of RTSmunity, predicted that this is only going to continue.

Speaking to Pavol Krasnovský ahead of SBC Summit Barcelona – Digital on September 8-11, the year’s biggest digital event in the calendar – we found out what RTSmunity will be showcasing at the event, and which industry innovations will take the spotlight for the remainder of 2020.

What are you looking forward to at the SBC Summit Barcelona – Digital?

I will be honest, it is just good to be in touch with everyone again. International travelling is not possible on a larger scale, so this is a great opportunity to catch up on latest developments, and see where the industry is heading.

What would be your biggest bit of advice for betting and gaming businesses trying to mitigate the impact of COVID-19?

Esports have provided a continuous stream of revenue for all our partners, and the growth of stake was just accelerated by Covid. That was reflected not only by our existing partners, but we are being approached by many new potential partners, because they see the value of esports betting, and they want to make sure to get a odds and trading provider with a proven record of working with top betting brands in the world. This increased interest is a motivation for us to keep doing what we do.

What are you promoting at SBC Summit Barcelona – Digital?

As discussed previously, esports betting is now in the spotlight, and many operators are looking very closely. To make the transition easier, we introduced a guaranteed profit for sportsbook earlier this year. That was a game changer, because no other provider is able to provide this sort of safety for operators.

In addition to that, we have now launched Esports Betting Iframe, a platform that solves everything. In short, operators can now integrate esports betting platforms with live odds, stream, statistics and profit guarantee, and launch it in two weeks. We take care of everything for them. We have also taken onboard new partners who used the platform to build brand new esports-only betting site that shows how versatile the platform is.

What industry innovation will capture the most attention in 2020?

After what we discussed earlier, I can’t give you a different answer that Esports Betting Iframe. There are many aspects why the solution is unique, and with all eyes on esports, we believe our platform will be the main star.

Which operator has impressed you the most in 2020?

I will take this question from our perspective of esports betting, and I have to applaud our partners in Poland, STS and forBET, who are doing a great job of navigating through the difficult situation by making sure their esports betting offer leads the market.

Another deserved mention goes to operators like Tiptorro in Germany, who are going into esports with intentions of dominating the market. They know it takes a great product to achieve a great result.

What partnership has stood out in the past 12 months?

Just now, the biggest esports league in Czech Republic is starting the second split, and we are very proud to be partners of Sazka eLEAGUE. Our business is done worldwide, but we are still a Czech company, and we want to help build the esports ecosystem here. It may not be the biggest partnership in the betting world, but it’s close to our heart.

Which parts of the conference agenda have caught your eye?

As we are now expanding into regions like LatAm or US, what really caught my eye is the panel Africa – The market of the future, with Dominik Beier. And as always, I am interested to hear Paris Smith discussing the current state of restrictions of sports betting, because she has a unique perspective that is valuable to anyone interested in betting business.

Further details, including the agenda, full line-up of 200 speakers and list of the 100 virtual exhibitors, are available from the official SBC Summit Barcelona – Digital website.
