Betsson, Soft2Bet, and Novibet were among the standout winners at last night’s inaugural SBC Awards Europe ceremony.Β
The prestigious ceremony took place on the evening of Thursday, 12th June at the Hilton Malta in Saint Julianβs. The evening brought the industry together to recognise the people and companies driving progress and setting new standards in sports betting and gaming across Europe.
The evening was hosted by globally recognised sports broadcaster and football presenter, Alison Bender, who presented 34 distinct awards honouring the industryβs leading operators, affiliates, and suppliers, in front of an audience of 400 industry stakeholders.Β

It was a standout night for Novibet, which secured two awards: βOperator Innovation in Gamingβ and βSportsbook Operator of the Yearβ. Meanwhile, Betsson Group was named βCasino Operator of the Yearβ, Betsson Group Affiliates won βBest Affiliate Programβ, and 1xBet took home the βMarketing Campaign and Sponsorship of the Yearβ award.Β
In the Operator & Supplier categories, Bragg Gaming was recognised for its commitment to safer gambling with the βSocially Responsible Initiative of the Yearβ award. Additionally, BGaming picked up the βBest Exclusive Game Partnershipβ award, and Alea took home the prestigious βEmployer of the Yearβ award.Β
Exceptional leadership across the industry was recognised through the coveted βLeader of the Yearβ award, which was jointly awarded to Bilyan Balinoff (Co-Founder, Vegas Legends) and Jovana Popovic Canaki (CEO, iGP). The βManager of the Yearβ accolade was presented to Pierre Pulis (Head of Marketing, BETBY).Β
In the supplier categories, Soft2Bet walked away with two awards on the night: βAcquisition & Retention Partnerβ and βIndustry Innovation of the Yearβ. Games Global was named βCasino Supplier of the Yearβ while OpenBet secured the title of βSportsbook Supplier of the Yearβ.Β
Other winners in the supplier categories included Oddin.gg, which won the βLive Betting Productβ award; Sportradar, which was awarded βSports Data Productβ; and BetConstruct, which was named βPlatform Provider of the Yearβ
The evening also featured a number of βRising Starβ categories, highlighting the achievements of emerging European operators and suppliers. In the operator categories, Casumo Services Limited secured the βRising Star in Casinoβ award, whilst BETANDYOU was named βRising Star in Sports Bettingβ.
In the supplier categories, Octoplay was honoured with the βRising Star in Casinoβ and BETER won βRising Star in Sports Bettingβ.Β
In the affiliate categories, Casino Guru was recognised as βCasino Affiliate of the Yearβ, while Flashscore was awarded βSports Affiliate of the Yearβ.Β
Mindway AI and Payhound were celebrated for innovations in payments and compliance, taking home the βCompliance & KYC Partner of the Yearβ and βPayment Solution of the Yearβ, respectively.Β
Continuing its predecessor’s commitment to celebrating advancements in gaming, the night also featured a number of βGame Developerβ categories. Relax Gaming was honoured with the βGame Aggregator of the Yearβ award, and Evoplay took home the βGame Design & Art Directionβ award. Meanwhile, Omnigame was awarded βGame Mechanic/Feature of the Yearβ, and Mascot Gaming won βGame Music / Soundtrackβ.Β
The coveted βGame of the Yearβ award was claimed by Relax Gaming for their title βAncient Tumbleβ, in a category newly opened to public voting for the 2025 edition.
Highlighting the outstanding work of European game studios were the βSlotCatalogβ awards. Pragmatic Play won the βGame Studio of the Year – Largeβ, Hacksaw Gaming took home the βGame Studio of the Year – Mediumβ and Reel Studio was named βGame Studio of the Year – Smallβ. The βRookie of the Yearβ award went to Backseat Gaming.Β
