Sports Betting Community is proud to announce the launch of the Sports Betting Hall of Fame, a new initiative created to recognise outstanding individual achievements within the sports betting industry.
At next week’s SBC Awards 2016 on 7 December, SBC will recognise three members of the sports betting community who have made a real difference to the sector over the course of their careers.
The inaugural members of the Hall of Fame are:
Mark Blandford – Founder of Sportingbet and gambling industry investor
Carsten Koerl – Founder of Sportradar
Howard Chisholm – Founder of Bookmakers Technology Consortium and independent bookmaker
The chosen candidates have enjoyed a long career in the industry, and played a prominent role in the public’s awareness and appreciation of the importance of sports betting. They have each displayed a level of innovation, whether that is by improving an industry process or bringing a new product to market.
Andrew McCarron, SBC Managing Director, commented: “It’s high time that the key people in the betting sector were officially recognised for their efforts in enhancing the industry. This is why we have launched the Sports Betting Hall of Fame. Bookmakers get such a bad press so we want to celebrate our leaders and innovators, not just this year, but for years to come.”
