SBC has revealed plans to transform its SBC Summit Rio for 2025, with a larger venue, a new date and a far bigger audience.Β
Building on this weekβs sold-out event in Brazil, SBC Summit Rio will transfer to Riocentro – the cityβs foremost event space – to increase the capacity to 10,000 sports and iGaming professionals and no less than 400 exhibitors and sponsors on February 25-27, 2025.
In order to accommodate the growing number of exhibitors, SBC will organize the show floor into dedicated areas for the Casino, iGaming & Sports Betting and Payments & Fintech professionals, and will introduce the Affiliate Leaders Summit to cater to the thousands of affiliates and marketing delegates expected to attend next year.Β
After sharing the plans with Rio de Janeiro Governor ClΓ‘udio Castro, who attended this yearβs event on Wednesday evening, SBC Founder and CEO Rasmus Sojmark revealed that the plan to triple the size of the event will solidify SBC Summit Rio 2025 as the biggest industry event in Brazil and the wider Latin American region.
He commented: “Even during the planning stage of the 2024 edition, we knew that this event held promise for further expansion. The rapid sell-out of our first event had made it clear that we needed to accommodate this increased demand.
βIn 2025, with plans for over 10,000 attendees and 400 exhibitors and sponsors, we want to provide the ultimate platform for all things iGaming and sports betting in Brazil. This development is incredibly exciting for both SBC and the industry, which has supported us in this decision in more ways than we could hope for.”
Set to host the event for at least four years, the new venue provides ample space spanning over 40,000 sqm. From Pavilion 4 to the Arts Pavilion, the amphitheatre, and outdoor food courts and networking spaces, Riocentro enables SBC to host the largest sports betting and iGaming event not just in Brazil, but throughout Latin America.Β
Additionally, the Riocentro offers the 4-star Lagune Barra Hotel onsite and is conveniently located near several hotels within a 4km radius, all offering complimentary shuttle services to the venue, ensuring a frictionless experience for the attendees.
For its conference segment, SBC Summit Rio 2025 will bring together 250 leading industry experts from Brazil and across the globe to share their knowledge, analyze trends, and discuss proactive initiatives to further advance the industry and shape the trajectory of Brazilβs gambling landscape.
This will include discussions on regulatory frameworks, localization intricacies, sports integrity, emerging sponsorship prospects, and the evolving dynamics among operators, affiliates, regulators, media, service providers, and other stakeholders.
The timing of the show was strategically selected for two primary reasons. Firstly, to establish a dedicated event for Brazil early in the year, enabling attendees to gather valuable market insights to shape their annual activities. Secondly, the show concludes just as the Brazilian Carnival begins in February 2025, offering attendees the opportunity to extend their stay in Rio and partake in this incredible cultural experience after attending SBC Summit Rio.
