How easy is it to get to the hotels/event from the Airport?
The Windsor Convention & Expo is extremely accessible to all those travelling, whether by plane, train or car.
The city of Rio De Janeiro has two airports both less than an hour’s drive from the venue, Santos Dumont Airport which is 27.5 km away and Galeão International Airport which is located 37.2 km from the venue, ensuring no matter where you are flying from, you can get to SBC Summit Rio with ease.
Once you have arrived, unless you have pre-booked a private service Cabify, or Uber (which operates in Rio), the best way to travel from the airport is via Taxi, both standard and ‘specialized/accredited’ taxis.
Common Taxi:
This is going to be your cheapest mode of private travel and can be found on the right-hand side of the arrivals exit at Santos Dumont Airport and directly as you exit customs clearance at Galeão International Airport.
Specialized/ Accredited Taxi:
Specialized/ Accredited Taxis are those that operate on a fixed rate and can be located by designated signage in both arrivals areas. Although there is often a higher rate for this form of travel, if you arrive between 5 pm and 7 pm (rush hour), there is a higher chance of traffic and therefore may be the better alternative.
