SBC is continuing to look forward to Betting on Sports. With the event now only six weeks away, we caught up with Sidelines, where their Chief Executive Officer, Or Lifshitz spoke about a brand new introduction.
He told SBC about a new acquisition ahead of #boscon, and how their ‘custom algorithm is at the heart of Sideline’.
What are you looking forward to at Betting on Sports?
Betting on Sport is hands-down 1 of our favorite industry events to attend. It’s always a great opportunity to meet colleagues and learn from industry leaders.
This year’s summit is especially exciting for us because we will uncover our US journey with Sidelines, the world’s first odds-comparison platform for the newly regulated market.
What are you promoting at Betting on Sports?
As I said, we are excited to introduce Sidelines.io.
We’re always looking for ways to deliver better sports analysis to our users. That’s why we have acquired this amazing company founded by ex-Googlers and machine learning experts.
The innovative custom algorithm that is at the heart of Sideline calculates expert analysis, projections, real-time odds comparison, injury reports, etc. and provides the most accurate analysis available today in the legalized US sports-betting market. With just a few clicks, you can beat the bookies by turning their odds against them.
In addition, you also get the latest news, useful betting tips, great user-generated content, tons of statistics, and join our rapidly growing online community of fans.
What industry innovation will capture the most attention in 2019?
The use of machine learning and natural language processing to empower sports players.
Which sports betting operator has impressed you the most in 2019?
We are super impressed by the elegant, smart penetration of Points Bet into the US market. Their revolutionary product along with their advanced marketing approach really makes them stand out from the pack.
If you could attend one sporting event, what would it be?
I prefer the UEFA Champions League Finals over any other sporting event. This event always delivers drama, surprises, and great soccer.
Which parts of the conference agenda have caught your eye?
I’m really looking forward to Marathonbet’s Dan Towse’s talk. I see the company’s right moves to growing their brand and I’m eager to hear about his marketing tactics.
I recently watched an interview with Dan where he talked about giving value to customers, whether it’s through user experience, price, communications, etc.
Plus, I love their Twitter account. Always spot on and engaging.
#boscon, held 17-20 September at Olympia London, is the world’s leading sports betting industry event, with this year’s conference set to boast 300 leading industry speakers across 50 sessions, with 120 exhibitors displaying their latest products.
Delegates will be treated to world-class hospitality with plenty of business and networking opportunities at some of London’s most iconic venues including the Natural History Museum. For more information about the event, please visit the Betting on Sports website.
