Last night GamblingCompliance held their third annual Global Regulatory Awards, the prestigious event that recognises individuals and teams who work tirelessly to set new standards in the compliance and responsible gambling industry.
Awards were given to winners across seventeen categories. Big winners on the evening included Dr Monika Racek, ADMIRAL Casinos & Entertainment AG, who won the award for the Chief Executive Officer of the Year, Trevor De Giorgio, Greentube, who won the Chief Compliance Officer of the Year award, Martin Lycka, GVC Holdings PLC, who won Head of Regulatory Affairs/Government Relations of the Year and Jeanne David, The Stars Group, who won the Award for Outstanding Commitment to Responsible Gambling. For a full list of winners go to gamblingcomplianceawards.com.
The awards took place at the prestigious De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in the heart of London. Now in their third year, they were brilliantly hosted by celebrated actor and comedian Stephen Mangan who followed in the hallowed footsteps of Victoria Coren-Mitchell and Hugh Dennis and kept the 400-strong crowd entertained between presentations.
The awards are a highlight of the compliance and responsible gambling calendar. The constantly changing regulatory landscape means that teams and individuals who work in the industry operate in a pressurised environment and who rarely receive the plaudits they deserve.
The Global Regulatory Awards are the industry’s leading independently judged by an independent panel of leading industry experts. As a result, winning an award at the GRAs is a clear demonstration of dedication to trustworthy gambling and regulatory compliance.
