With SBC Digital – India 2021 fast approaching – due to take place from 27 – 28 January – we have been sitting down with some of our event sponsors to discuss what they are expecting from the regional-focused event.
When we spoke to Mikael Lijtenstein, CEO of AstroPay, he explained that he expects 2021 to be the year for settlement and consolidation of fintech platforms, with increased demand for security and enhanced user experience.
What are you looking forward to at SBC Digital – India 2021?
As we are operating in the country, our main objective in attending this event is the possibility to network with relevant actors of the industry. We value the opportunity of making new contacts that will broaden our horizons.
What are your predictions for the gaming industry in 2021?
Regarding payments, I may say that the drift towards digitalisation that was occurring, has been accelerated by the pandemic. This might be the biggest change the industry faced as there is no possibility to retrace it. Therefore, all forms of digital payments are becoming popular among users, where digital wallets have a starring role.
With 2020 being the year of acceleration and growth, 2021 will be the time for settlement and consolidation for fintech platforms. As the escalation has been rapid, consumers – now used to pay digitally, will demand for more security and functionalities to make the journey as natural as possible, as well as safe.
Furthermore, I believe it will be a year of inspiration to leverage the opportunities this crisis offers to improve the way we live. The innovations that were led by fintechs and wallets will be accelerated in 2021, and those that provide faster and tech-friendly ways of using money and paying for services will be at the forefront.
What are you promoting at SBC Digital – India 2021?
We are promoting One Touch, our digital wallet that can be integrated from a simplified integration process through an auto enrolment channel, with little to no IT intervention required on the merchant side. It provides the possibility of identifying users from a single code, as well as having a closed loop on them – diminishing the chances of fraud. Receiving deposits from a simple touch, with automatic approval for recurring users, generates greater fluency and less friction in the interaction between the merchant and its customers.
Moreover, users will have an immediate payment option available from a simple “touch”, which allows them to have their funds, in just one place, with almost no friction. This multi-currency solution complies with high security standards that guarantee the prevention of fraud.
Which parts of the conference agenda have caught your eye?
The agenda as a whole is attractive because of the diversity of topics it deals with and because it provides the possibility to listen to different local actors in the industry.
