Betting on Sports webinar series takes a look at Machine Learning & The Global Sports Betting Industry

SBC’s Betting on Sports webinar series continues on Wednesday 7 August 2019 with ‘ICED(AI) – A Burgeoning Affair: Machine Learning & The Global Sports Betting Industry’.

The session will deal with one of the key issues facing the sector, providing an in-depth examination of both the opportunities and challenges emerging from developments in Artificial Intelligence at a time when the industry is preparing for the growth of market-disrupting technologies.

Lloyd Danzig, Chairman & Founder of ICED(AI), a New York-based international consortium promoting the ethical development and deployment of AI, will present the BOS webinar audience with a deep dive into the cutting edge technologies that will reshape this global industry.

A computer science and financial services veteran, Mr Danzig has previously leveraged advanced analytical frameworks in the service of managing institutional portfolios for BlackRock, the world’s largest asset manager with $6.5 Trillion USD in assets under management, as well as leading data science initiatives for Samsung, and numerous successful entrepreneurial ventures.

Fusing AI implementations with a lifelong passion for sports betting, Mr Danzig is considered one of the foremost experts in the evolving and rapidly-increasing role that Machine Learning will command in sports betting infrastructures.

Mr Danzig said: “Leveraging the latest developments in Artificial Intelligence will not only allow operators to efficiently grow GGR in the short term, but also enhance customer retention by providing a superior on-platform experience while simultaneously ensuring that the integrity of underlying competitive sports is not compromised.”

SBC Managing Director Andrew McCarron added: “Having followed Lloyd’s research and insights for a number of years, he is the perfect speaker to put forward a sensible discussion on AI and further tech disruptors. This is a BOS webinar that is not to be missed.”
