Barcelona is quarantine free and open for industry events: This means it is possible to travel there and participate in the event without having to quarantine.

ONLY REQUIREMENT TO ENTER THE EVENT IS TO WEAR A MASK WHILE INSIDE AND NOT EXHIBITING ANY COVID SYMPTOMS

Industry events are fully going ahead – with major ones like Mobile World Congress and ISE Live having already taken place. In the case of Mobile World it had over 10,000 attendees.

COVID rates have dropped in Catalonia in line with the rollout of the vaccination programme.

70% of all adults over 29 are now fully vaccinated; this is expected to be 80% before the end of September.

The well being of the community we support is the most important aspect of any SBC event and we have worked closely with the venue and local suppliers to ensure SBC Summit Barcelona can go ahead in a safe environment.

The format will adhere to all relevant regulations, but without hindering the exchange of knowledge and ideas, business meetings and networking that make SBC’s betting and igaming industry events so valuable.

We have already demonstrated that the format works by successfully staging CasinoBeats Summit in COVID-safe conditions in July 2021, when delegates were able to enjoy a full programme of conference sessions, networking dinners and business meetings.

SBC Summit Barcelona attendees can take their COVID test to travel back home from the event.
For ease of access, SalutLabs will have test facilities in the exhibition hall with your results emailed to you within 24 hours.

To keep in mind when booking:

Select WEDNESDAY 22nd of September (TEST TAKEN AT HOME as your desired testing date and to fill in “Fira Internacional de Barcelona” when asked for the location to take the test in the booking form.  As shown in the example below it will then automatically fill in street name, zip code etc.

The five-point plan outlined below is designed to ensure that we continue to provide a great experience for delegates, speakers, exhibitors and sponsors, while keeping all stakeholders and staff safe at SBC Summit Barcelona.

1. PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE)

Government guidelines will be followed at all times and SBC will also make available preventions such as:

✓ Face Masks – Masks must be worn at all times within the venue and must be a surgical mask or FFP2 Mask

✓ Disposable tissues

✓ Disinfectant gel

2. PHYSICAL DISTANCING / SOCIAL DISTANCING

SBC has worked with the venue to introduce crowd control measures that will allow attendees to feel safe and comfortable at all times, and importantly still enjoy the event. Measures include:

Floor markings to indicate space regulations in areas where queues might form, such as:

✓ In the entrance and registration area

✓ Catering areas

✓ Outside conference rooms

✓ Toilets & washrooms

✓ Feature areas

Extra Space between booths, so that even during busy times it is easy to manage physical distancing.

Conference room layouts that allow for physical distancing, including:

✓ Leaving gaps in seating

✓ Chequerboard seating

Larger Stages to allow speakers to distance themselves:

✓ Eliminating handshakes

✓ Extensive signage to reinforce physical distance measures

3. ACCESS CONTROL AND HEALTH SCREENING
95% of attendees at SBC Summit Barcelona will pre-register, so we know how many people will attend ahead of the event. This allows us to put in place measures and controls, such as:

✓ Combined attendee badge scan and temperature checks at event entrance

✓ Print your own name badge to lessen physical contact

4. SANITATION AND ENVIRONMENT
Hand Sanitiser Stations positioned in key locations throughout the event with regular use encouraged to all attendees.

Enhanced cleaning regime focusing on key touchpoints, such as:
✓ Catering areas
✓ Feature areas
✓ Conference rooms
✓ Toilets & Washrooms

Increased Exhibitor Stand cleaning
✓ Disinfectant provided for exhibitors to clean their stands and exhibits
✓ Increased frequency for the collection and removal of waste bins

5. FOOD AND BEVERAGE

As part of SBC’s commitment to giving all attendees a VIP experience at SBC Digital Summit, delegates receive complimentary breakfasts and lunches. To ensure this is done safely:

✓ Food will be served in packaged closed containers  – cool bento box style catering

✓ Seating and networking areas will also be set up to allow physical distancing
